HOW IT WORKS!

One Goal. Every Team in the Game.

1. SET UP YOUR GROUP

Choose a Gains Goal—3, 5, or 7 laps. Give each player or team a game piece and workout zone. Review the exercises, movement options, and special spaces.

2. START TOGETHER

Each player or team rolls once to find its starting exercise. Head to the workout zones and wait for the countdown. Everyone begins together, completing exercises before returning for the next roll.

3. TRACK GAINS AND WIN

Keep rolling, moving, and exercising. Mark one Gain each time your piece completes a lap past GAINS START HERE. The first player or team to reach the Gains Goal wins.

Watch the Workout Unfold

See the flow from board to workout zone: roll, move, complete the exercise, and return. Teams play at the same time while the coach guides the session.

TEAM PLAY IN ACTION

20 Players. Four Teams. One Board.

Make four teams of five. Give each team one game piece, a workout zone, and a Captain and Co-Captain.

Teammates share their team’s exercise total. Once it’s complete, both leaders return to the board:

  • Captain: Rolls the dice and moves the team’s piece.
  • Co-Captain: Checks the move and helps announce the next exercise.

Both leaders rejoin their team for the next exercise. You coach movement, pacing, and teamwork across the group.

Want to share leadership? Rotate these roles after each Gain.

Same Box. A Fresh Group Challenge.

SWITCH THE TEAMS

Mix up partners and team roles. Give participants new people to work with and fresh chances to lead and encourage.

CHANGE THE GOAL

Choose a shorter match, a longer challenge, or a timed block. Adjust the session to your group and the time available.

BRING BACK THE REMATCH

Make BoardGains a recurring class activity. Celebrate effort, teamwork, and the winning team, then bring the group together for another round.
